Enzymatic Exfoliant Step 1

1. Use it once or twice a week, on cleansed skin.
2. Apply a small amount to the face. A little goes a long way.
3. Apply the Enzymatic Exfoliant Step 2 on top. Step 1 does nothing on its own.
4. Leave the pair on for three to five minutes, then emulsify and rinse.
5. Keep it away from the eyes, and rinse with plenty of water if it gets in.

Does it work on its own, without Step 2?

No, and Aquafolia says so directly on the page. The enzymes in Step 1 stay protected until the effervescent Step 2 is applied over them. Bought alone, this bottle will not exfoliate anything. Order the two together, or ask us to pair them for you.

How often should I use it?

Once or twice a week is what the brand sets out, and there is no advantage in going further. Enzymatic exfoliation is gentle but it is still exfoliation. If your skin is very reactive, once a week is enough, and the AquaUNDE Mask straight after is a good sequence.

My skin flushes easily. Is this too much for it?

It is designed for the opposite situation. There are no granules, no mechanical action and no micro lesions, and the brand states that it does not stimulate sebum production. That makes it one of the few exfoliants suitable for very sensitive skin. Keep the leave on time to three minutes at first.

What should I apply afterwards?

Rinse, then mist the Aqua Rescue Concentrate over the face while it is still damp, which is the sequence Aquafolia sets out. Follow with your usual serum and moisturizer. If it is a mask evening, the AquaUNDE Mask goes on after the exfoliant for the best result.
